Awards and Scholarships
Top Teen of Canada 2008
The contestant chosen by the judging panel at the completion of the Final Showcase will receive the title of Top Teen of Canada 2008 and a cash scholarship of $3,000!
In addition, there are 6 fast-track awards that reward each winner with an automatic place in the top 16 semi-finalists for the final showcase. They are:
Entrepreneur Award
The contestant who raises the most money through on-line donations and community fundraising will receive the Top Teen Entrepreneur Award 2008. The winner receives a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists and a $1,000 scholarship!
Speech Presentation Award
The contestant that is named by the judging panel as having presented the best speech of the night will receive the Top Teen Speech Presentation Award 2008. The winner receives a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists and a $500 scholarship!
Personal Showcase Award
The contestant that is named by the judging panel as having presented the most outstanding personal showcase of the night will receive the Top Teen Personal Showcase Award 2008. The winner receives a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists and a $500 scholarship!
Sportsmanship Award
This award is judged by the contestants and the staff chaperones during TTC week and is awarded to the contestant who exhibits the best sportsmanship throughout TTC week. The winner receives a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists and a $500 scholarship!
People's Choice Award
This is the public’s chance to have a say. Internet voting begins on July 20 and the contestant who receives the most votes is awarded the 2008 People’s Choice Award along with a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists
Best Regional Costume Award
The winner of the Best Regional Costume Award, as voted by Program Staff at the start of the Final Showcase, receives a fast-track into the top 16 semi-finalists
