During the week of July 10th to 16th, 2011, our selected contestants representing various areas of North America will descend upon Greater Vancouver with the hope of being chosen Top Teen of North America 2011.
During this busy week, our delegates will attend a series of professionally led workshops. Some of the workshops provide training directly related to the competition, such as public speaking and interview skills, while others give them life-long skills to better themselves and promote positive self-esteem, such as the self-defence and manners & etiquette training.
The week will also provide the opportunity for the delegates to explore the natural beauty of Vancouver and its surroundings. The contestants will have the oppportunity to see some of the sights they have seen on television during the broadcast of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The contestants will have two days of outings and sight seeing opportunities, including downtown Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean, Stanley Park, Granville Island, the Fraser Canyon, the Coast Mountains, and the Fraser Valley.
During the week, the delegates will present themselves in two preliminary events to the public and to the judging panel. In one event they will present their personal speech, and in the second event they will present their personal showcase.
In addition, the delegates will be individually interviewed by the judging panel. The final night of the competition will be a live show where each delegate will introduce themself and their community wearing their regional costume.
The final night of competition will be a live 3 hour show, broadcast live on the Internet, that will feature all selected contestants as they compete for the title of Top Teen of North America 2011. This show is exciting and fast-paced as we begin to narrow down the contestants to just one winner: Top Teen of North America 2011!
Top Teen of North America 2011 will begin a year of public appearances, unique opportunities, and charity involvement across the continent.
